Despite current economic conditions, research suggests that attendances for Dental treatment are not diminishing substantially. Some downward movement has been noted in the more expensive treatments but most patients appear to be willing to pay for treatments which help to make them look and feel better.
There is still potential for the government to squeeze the Health budget relating to Dentistry which may have the knock on effect that more patients will be prepared to pay for dental care themselves.
There is therefore much to be gained by anticipating the trends and plan for less public funding and greater private investment in oral health and in this environment the most effective and professional practices are set to become winners.
