We see ourselves like a ‘personal shopper’ and do all the legwork for our clients. From simple advice to a presentation of 3D visuals. We make the process of buying furniture simpler. We create and select items tailored to our clients’ needs so that they always have a variety to choose from.

Ken Rand Partners is all about our customers, we take care of their projects and arrange everything, so their furniture is either delivered to their doorsteps or installed in their premises.

Our History

Ken Rand Partners  started when Ken Rand, our Managing Director, decided to go self-employed  and  was offered agency work with  a shop fitting company.  Ken Rand tells us the story…  “I took a book full of this company’s photographs of previous projects and worked out a calling cycle for the towns of Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex. I drove to one of these towns each day and called from shop to shop in the hope that I could sell products from the photographs”. 

18 months later, the shop fitting company wanted to stop doing all the installation work and just focus on the manufacturing, Ken changed from being a commission agent  to a point where he was buying all the items directly and arranging for a set of fitters to do all the installation work. Then, it extended to other works that were required like ancillary works: ceiling, flooring etc. 

The first attempt at branding a new business was in 1976, Kruger interiors and  Shoplan Designs were some of the initial company names. It was only later when a marketing company concluded that ‘Ken Rand’ was a great brand in itself.  

Adding in the “Partners” came from the essence of the business where our team engage in partnership with each other, and that as a team we engage in partnership with our clients, prospects, suppliers and contractors. 

Ken Rand Partners have since undertaken endless reception, health care, education and commercial fit-out projects with clients of all sizes. We highly value relationships that have been built  along the way with clients such as: Createabilty, Carillion plc, Kier Construction, BBC, Hampshire County Council, QA Hospital, The Buxton Group – and businesses like Crookhorn College Of Technology , Edinburgh Napier University, Leightons Opticians, Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, amongst others. 

In recent years, we have developed a comprehensive portfolio featuring commercial furniture and have specialised in the design and supply of bespoke furniture.
